 Advantage of Open-Schol

Open School gives chance to the learner to earn their living and to continue their studies simultaneously
Provision for constant support to the learner by the contact teacher.
It gives chance for school dropouts and for students who do not get admission in the regular schools to continue their studies without break.
For those students who have already passed Higher Secondary courses through Grading System can take other subject combinations (other than the subject combination they have already studied) They can study through the school or Open school again for two years and can write their examinations studying new combinations, there is no need for writing exams for the subjects that they have already passed in their previous study.

Dis-advantage of open school

1. Physical separation of the teacher and the students
Teachers are both knowledge givers as well as role models for students in a traditional type of learning. By physically separating the two, students will lose the personal interaction with the teachers and can harm the mental buildup of such students.
Some students are keen on learning while the teachers are physically present, and distance learning would be a disadvantage for such students who look up to their teachers in carrying out their learning.
2. Less motivational
In the distance mode, the students are isolated and do not receive the same sort of interaction with their colleagues in the same course. It is also possible that the tutors will not be able to interact and motivate the students as they would do in a classroom environment. In certain instances, the students will thrive in an environment that will give them a challenge to perform in a peer group. The open and distance mode will lack most of these motivational factors and be disadvantageous to some of the students.
3. Would not help in developing social interactions and oral skills
The distance mode of learning would not facilitate oral communication unless it is a synchronous learning event where all students participate

What is E-banking ..?

Online banking (or Internet banking or E-banking) allows customers of a financial institution to conduct financial transactions on a secure website operated by the institution, which can be a retail or virtual bank, credit union or building society. It may include of any transactions related to online usage
To access a financial institution's online banking facility, a customer having personal Internet access must register with the institution for the service, and set up some password (under various names) for customer verification. The password for online banking is normally not the same as for telephone banking. Financial institutions now routinely allocate customer numbers (also under various names), whether or not customers intend to access their online banking facility. Customer numbers are normally not the same as account numbers, because a number of accounts can be linked to the one customer number. The customer will link to the customer number any of those accounts which the customer controls, which may be cheque, savings, loan, credit card and other accounts.
To access online banking, the customer would go to the financial institution's website, and enter the online banking facility using the customer number and password. Some financial institutions have set up additional security steps for access, but there is no consistency to the approach adopted.

Advantage of E-banking .
  1. The operating cost per unit services is lower for the banks.
  2. It offers convenience to customers as they are not required to go to the bank's premises.
  3. There is very low incidence of errors.
  4. The customer can obtain funds at any time from ATM machines.
  5. The credit cards and debit cards enables the Customers to obtain discounts from retail outlets.
  6. The customer can easily transfer the funds from one place to another place electronically.
 Dis-advantage if E-banking

Internet Connection

  • Not everyone enjoys the luxury of having a stable and fast Internet connection at home. Aside from having a personal computer or laptop, having stable Internet access at home is a basic prerequisite to performing electronic banking. Of course, people can always use a public computer with Internet access; however, the security of public computers is always a concern.

Computer Know-How

  • Conducting a successful electronic banking transaction, like paying bills online, requires basic computer skills and knowing your way around the Internet. Being computer-literate is not common to everyone---especially seniors who might not have grown up using computers---and this is a major disadvantage to electronic banking.
